The Opportunity

Join us as a Demand and Supply Planner at Samsung, where you will play a crucial role in managing demand forecasts, optimising inventory levels, and ensuring exceptional service for our valued partners.


In this role, you will be responsible for analysing demand patterns, lead times, and various supply chain factors to ensure the highest service level for our service partners.

By maintaining optimal inventory levels and costs, you will contribute to the seamless flow of products and exceed customer expectations.


As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to manage purchasing activities and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, regional headquarters (RHQ), and headquarters (HQ).

Your effective communication skills will be essential in ensuring that our warehouses, channels, and service partners have the right stocks at all times, minimising costs and waste.

Role and Responsibilities

Develop Demand Forecast Models for Spare Parts:

  • Create and refine models to predict the demand for spare parts accurately

Monitor and Manage Weekly Purchase Orders:

  • Oversee the process of placing and tracking weekly purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to our warehouses

Strategise Inventory Plans for Spare Parts:

  • Formulate strategies for managing inventory levels, considering both existing and new spare parts. This includes planning for phase-outs and source changes

Collaborate with Global Counterparts, Suppliers, and Vendors:

  • Engage with counterparts across the globe, as well as suppliers and vendors, to facilitate and maintain an effective forecasting and demand planning process

Utilise Scenario Modelling and Big Data Analysis:

  • Employ advanced techniques like scenario modelling and harness the power of big data to generate analytics that aid in effective decision-making

Coordinate Activities to Refine Forecasts and Sales Assumptions:

  • Work across functions to reconcile significant forecast variances and refine plans based on updated repairs and sales assumptions

Develop Contingency Plans for Stock Optimisation:

  • Create backup plans and risk mitigations to respond to unexpected fluctuations in sales, ensuring the optimisation of stock in the supply chain
Provide Insightful KPI Reports and Maintain SSPM Forecasting Tool:

  • Deliver key performance indicator reports to the senior management team, offering valuable insights. Additionally, maintain the forecasting profile in the SSPM tool to enhance forecasting accuracy


Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in a related field- 2+ years of demand and supply planning experience with a focus on forecasting management- Proficient in SAP, especially in SAP MM, and advanced Excel skills.

- Analytical and detail-oriented, with a logístical mindset for efficient goods handling- Works well under time pressure, meets deadlines, and collaborates effectively in a team- Strong organisational skills, initiative, and a commitment to excellent customer service
