About the role
***We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer who will primarily be responsible for creating and developing high-quality content for internal audiences of the department. You will also have well-developed customer management skills and are results-driven, resilient and confident in managing challenging situations. You have a working knowledge of the legislative and policy frameworks.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic, busy team.

You will also have the following attributes:

  • High level of interpersonal and oral communication skills including working both autonomously and in a team environment
  • An eye for detail and have a creative approach to content creation
  • You are adaptable with exceptional time management skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Enjoy working on a range of different projects and tasks simultaneously.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
  • Relevant work experience or relevant tertiary qualifications.
