Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise both broker conditional messages and firm orders as well as buyside BIDS Trader flow.
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers via formal office visits, phone calls, electronic and other forms of interactions to expand and support the service. Some travel local and potentially international travel will be involved.
  • Continuously track usage and performance metrics in the Cboe BIDS EMS and admin to determine if the market is operating soundly, BIDS Users' needs are being met, and if any changes are required to improve the market.
  • Train clients on BIDS Trader, develop product usage and continue to provide client service and support to current BIDS users to help ensure users understand the service and comply with BIDS rules and requirements.
  • In addition to buyside relationships, maintain and grow sellside relationships.
  • Ensure BIDS operates in full compliance with the applicable local and global regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Job Requirements

  • Minimum 35 years of equity trading experience in the Australian and NZ markets, preferably across high touch, portfolio trading and electronic business lines. DTR accreditation is advantageous.
  • Experience with quantitative trading strategies, pre
- and post-trade analytics. Solid knowledge of broker algorithm and SOR operation and the ability to provide execution consultancy on the optimization of these in the context of BIDS.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment and taking personal responsibility for your team's compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • A deep knowledge of Australian market structure particularly around "dark" trading. Knowledge of APAC market structure and regulation advantageous but not necessary.
  • Strong relationships on the buyside and with institutional brokers.
  • The ability to communicate information precisely and with agility. The role involves high levels of engagement with both buyside and sellside users and proactive communication is vital for success in the role.
  • Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work within a team while also being comfortable working independently.
  • Comfortable working in a small local team with global communication lines.
  • Superior communication skills, selfmotivated, ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree
