Uniting, a leading organisation committed to making a positive impact in communities, is seeking a dedicated Investigator to join our team within the Customer Risk and Governance Directorate.

This NEW role is pivotal in investigating reportable allegations involving children and will support Uniting to continuously improve the systems in place to keep children and other vulnerable clients

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with intake assessments for Reportable Conduct in NSW and ACT jurisdictions and Reportable Incidents including assessment, initial triage, threshold response, and escalation as required.
  • Arrange and assist with triage meetings with targeted stakeholders within set timeframes following the assessment of Reportable Matters.
  • Work within statutory and legislative requirements to support Senior Investigators in determining the appropriate course of action for investigations.
  • Conduct investigative interviews, analyse evidence, complete investigation reports, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Assist Senior Investigators in the endtoend investigation process, analysis, and assessment of allegations of reportable conduct, reportable incidents, and/or misconduct.
  • Interpret and analyse evidence to determine findings in relation to alleged misconduct.
  • Monitor and report on progress and actions in regard to specific cases to stakeholders regularly.
  • Ensure transparent records of all activities undertaken in relation to investigation cases within the Case Management system.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience in relevant areas, especially child protection.

Experience:

  • 2 or more years' experience in the field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, systematic, thorough, accurate, and disciplined.
  • Willingness and capacity to learn investigation processes and interviewing skills for sensitive issues.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Current NSW Driver's license.

Even Better:

  • Experience in community service, education, health sectors, OR experience in workplace investigations.
