rapidly grown to become a major player in the mining market in WA. This ASX Listed company is looking to expand it Risk and Compliance division. With a view the successful candidate could move into the Head of role over time.

Responsibilities but not limited to....
Risk Management

  • Assisting departments with risk development, control design and risk treatment plans.
  • Presenting and informing the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and/or Board on key risk matters as required.
  • Improving risk maturity across the Company through a continual improvement process.
  • Providing feedback on insurance departures from a risk management perspective

Compliance

  • Assisting with compliance performance reports and reporting to the ELT and Audit and Risk Committee.

Internal Audit

  • Outsourced function but will help facilitate.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • Senior and well experienced professional who has demonstrated experience at a senior level operating at all levels and ability to interface at Executive and Board level where required.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years operational risk related experience (ideally within Mining or oil and gas could be advantageous).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong working relationships across all areas of the business, including the board of directors.
  • A self-starter and willing to "roll up sleeves" when needed.
