About the role


We are looking for an experienced
Payroll professional who takes immense pride and action when it comes to 'Getting it Right and On-Time'.

As the Payroll Officer, you will be part of the People Services team, and have a very in depth understanding of how to interpret earnings, Awards, certified agreements, and compulsory deductions.

Your main focus will be on ensuring operational compliance in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and taxation standards.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide payroll advice and solutions focussed support, identify and recommend business improvement opportunities
  • Prepare the weekly payment cycle and assist with data checking and maintenance of records
  • Prepare forms and reports in relation to payroll, deductions (child support, Centrelink, taxation, and related correspondence)

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ability to have fun whilst working with demanding timeframes
  • Ability to offer practical, straightforward, and supportive communication to employees and managers
  • High level of organisation with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Experience using Kronos and SuccessFactors, as well as the ability to understand the interfaces between the systems
  • Previous experience in the endtoend payroll function in a medium to large organisation
