Queensland Rail currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lineperson to join our Traction Power Maintenance team in our South-East Queensland Network.

We have depots at Sunshine, Holmview and Corinda. This area provides Traction power maintenance, asset management and High Voltage response throughout the SEQ Network.

Queensland Rail is undergoing a transformation in the way we deliver rail services.

With the introduction of Cross River Rail getting closer, now is an exciting time to be a part of the future of Traction Power in South-East Queensland.

Whilst we encourage people with a Traction Linesperson background to apply, we also have a program in place to provide the bridging training to support you in gaining the Traction Linesperson qualification. To be considered for this position you will have

  • Sound knowledge of all types of overhead line equipment and their relevant maintenance and installation standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of high voltage operating procedures

In addition, you must also have:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Linesperson licence;
  • National Driver's license
This opportunity operates across an 8week cycle, with shifts scheduled days, nights and on weekends during weekend track closures. The base rate salary is $101,487. Average Salary $100-140k (Inc O/T rates and allowances) plus a generous superannuation scheme.
