Job Description Some of your responsibilities will include:
Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan
Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
Manage and coach staff effectively, leading the team in achieving project and personal goals
Oversee, coach and mentor the works of the Site Supervision team
Schedule and coordinate other site staff (e.g., admin) with priority issues / tasks being identified and actioned
Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
Liaise with the Client and ensure a long-standing relationship is maintained
Report to senior management on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones;
Establish a cohesive project team with defined responsibilities far assigned projects;
Mentor staff as required to effectively carry out their assigned tasks
Desired Skills and Experience To be considered
Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
Current Senior First Aid
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
High level ability to read and interpret drawings
Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works
Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship
