This is a key role supporting the effective and efficient delivery of Technology and Innovation services to the Department and partner agencies.

It leads a small team to provide administrative, purchasing, budget support and advice across Technology and Innovation, and to the Chief Information and Technology Officer, particularly in areas of budget reporting and monitoring, purchasing and receipt of assets.

It also provides additional administrative support to the Office of the Chief Information and Technology Officer, including the preparation of reports, briefing notes, and correspondence.

Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to:

  • Arson and fire setting;
  • Sexual offences;
  • Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
  • Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
  • Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
  • Malicious damage and destruction to property
  • Trafficking of narcotic substance;

Experience in a similar role, and/or experience in the telecommunications or information technology spheres, will be viewed favourably.
