**Your opportunity
**This is a busy role where no day is the same. You will join a supportive team who have a genuine passion and desire to help others. The team is led by a supportive, approachable leader, who ensures an open-door policy at all times. You'll be surrounded by an energetic and diverse team.
You will provide the first point of contact for young people and their families. You will also liaise with medical professionals, hospitals, private practitioners, and our clinical teams at headspace.
**You will thrive in this opportunity to: - Greet all young people, their families, collocated services and visitors, whether in person or via electronic means, in a friendly, timely and courteous manner.
- Support private practitioners at headspace to complete all receptions tasks in relation to providing services to clients
- Assist in capturing client information in relevant headspace databases
- Manage the switchboard including answering and/or redirect inquiries as appropriate
- Assist in ensuring the smooth flow of young people, their families, collocated services and visitors.
What you'll bring
You are an approachable, engaging individual and you will demonstrate a passion to client service delivery.
Your understanding of the issues which impact our client bases, along with maintaining professional working relationships will ensure success in the role.
**To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you'll need: - A genuine passion and a desire to help others.- You must have previous experience working at a medical reception or a strong interest in mental health / experience with the mental health system.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and a diverse range of health and community service providers.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to gain knowledge of, relevant administrative/clerical procedures, including computerised database packages and filing systems.
- Excellent organisation, problemsolving and prioritisation skills.
- An understanding of the LGBTIQA+ community would be advantageous.
