About the Role

As a Chef at one of our care homes, you will be responsible for preparing well-presented and nutritious meals in a homely atmosphere. Your culinary enthusiasm combined with a resident-centered approach will significantly impact the lives of our residents.

Duties

  • Plan and cook well-balanced and nourishing meals for residents
  • Coordinate with residents, families, and the care team to address dietary, personal, and cultural preferences
  • Ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and catering services
  • Adhere to all food safety and infection control protocols
  • Handle administrative tasks related to kitchen operations like inventory management and food quality assessments

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in meal preparation and service in a similar setting
  • Preferably hold a Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to independently solve problems
