About the position

As a
Technical Officer (Simulation), you will provide support to academic staff teaching into simulation blocks in the Clinical Practice Suites by ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all Clinical Practice Suites across the Faculty of Health.

You will ensure the suites are equipped and maintained to provide a high-quality learning environment for the teaching and assessment of clinical skills and simulation for a wide variety of health-related courses.

You will also provide basic administrative and clerical support, as required, such as ordering stationery and supplies, organizing catering and meetings, facilities, maintenance, and access requests access.


About You

To be successful, you will possess:

  • Completion of a diploma level or other relevant qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Awareness and knowledge of safe working practices, regulations and procedures, possession of Senior First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain, and capacity to implement Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies.
  • Ability to prepare and use equipment and associated software systems.
  • Awareness and knowledge of Clinical Practice Suite safe working practices and WHS regulations, especially relating to storage and disposal of biological materials and chemicals.
  • Demonstrated Clinical Practice Suite skills including maintenance of facilities, equipment and practice supplies, accurate record keeping, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and to adapt to a changing and flexible work environment, while maintaining initiative, selfmotivation, and discipline.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 4 and the base salary will be in the range $66,471 to $70,665 per annum.

The total remuneration package will be in the range of $77,771 to $82,678 per annum including 17% superannuation.
