Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) are the internal audit function for the Group.

Their primary purpose is to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of the Groups risk management, controls and governance processes.

Over the last three years GA&A has increasingly embedded digital assurance into audit activities, injecting Artificial Intelligence (AI) into routine control testing and using digital tools to improve the overall experience for employees.

By reducing administrative overhead, GA&A have increased their teams capacity for high value judgement-based activities and expanded their support to include sharing knowledge and tools that create better risk coverage across the Bank for all Three Lines of Assurance.

See yourself in our team CBA GA&A's Analytics team, based in Australia, Hong Kong and India, comprises of professionals with financial services backgrounds in the areas of analytics and audit.

The Analytics team is of strategic importance to GA&A, being responsible for achieving powerful insights and support effective and efficient audit processes.

We use Python, R, Teradata SQL, Hadoop and other specialised tools to carry out our work.
The team works closely with auditors and special project teams to provide insight into business risks.
This involves the application of analytics on audits, advanced analytics capability development (data science, engineering), and visualisation.

The Analytics team is a high-performance team that takes an innovative approach to analytics and its application within Group Audit.

Your reporting lines Your manager is the Executive Manager - Financial Crime and Fraud Audit.
Your manager once removed (Mo R) is the General Manager - Financial Crime, Fraud, Privacy, CBA-India.

Your impact & contribution Perform high quality, risk-focused analytics providing management with powerful insights for improving the control environment in line with Group strategic objectives.

Assist auditors and reviewers in becoming more efficient and effective, in both executing audits, and planning audit coverage, through the use of analytics and continuous assurance.

Continuously seek ways to reduce costs by executing analytics work efficiently, without negatively impacting audit/project coverage or quality.
Your responsibilities High quality and timely delivery of a number of Analytics assignments across your given portfolio.
Consistently deliver accurate and effective data analytics in line with methodology and quality standards.
Work closely with audit teams and other customers to understand the risk and controlenvironment.
Profile, test and understand data extracted from core business systems to identify data trends, outliers and relevant information.

Present results in a clear and concise manner to senior internal and external stakeholders Solve problems by applying innovative thinking.

Actively participate in processes to capture and act on innovation.

We're interested in hearing from people who possess, Tertiary qualification in a quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, science, economics, commerce)Minimum 5 years' experience in an Analytics role Demonstrated good team player Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Operational Risk desirable Proficient in SQLProficiency in R or Python desirable.
