About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Leading Hand to join our Gunnedah Basin Haulage site in the Maintenance team. The Leading Hand will be employed under a roster of 5/2 – Monday to Friday.
What You'll Do
Assist in leading the maintenance crew, providing guidance and proactive leadership skills. Complete planned, unplanned, and corrective maintenance tasks Ensure compliance to Whitehaven Coals Occupational Health and Safety Standard is being met. Ensure that all incidents, accidents and hazards are reported and are followed up correctly to minimise and manage risk. Inspect equipment and raise job requests on any defective parts/components found.What You'll Bring
Mining or general heavy industry / haulage experience in a leading hand or leadership position Risk management experience Problem-solving Knowledge of OH&S legislation and statutory requirements in NSW (Desireable) RIIRIS301D – Apply Risk Management Processes RIIWHS301D – Conduct safety and Health Investigations RIICOM301D – Communicate Information Current Driver's Licence (essential) RIIRIS402D Carry out the risk management processWhy Whitehaven Coal?
