The Role:

Our buyers are the heart of our operations at HelloFresh.

You will join a vibrant, fast-paced team who work with our Suppliers and Distribution Centres to ensure that we have the right ingredients, at the right time, to ensure our customer satisfaction.

You will take on a specific product category and be responsible for its successful operations, whilst minimizing food waste. You can expect a fast-paced environment, where team-work and cross-functional collaboration are the keys to our success.

What you'll do:

  • Be in charge of managing the weekly supply of our ingredients to ensure our customers receive highquality ingredients in time
  • Own the end to end ordering process; you will be the expert on all operational concerns for your category
  • Work crossfunctionally with other teams in our supply chain to optimise our supply set up
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure ontime, onspec deliveries and follow up shortages & missed deliveries
  • Regularly visit our production sites and consistently communicate with our production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage inventory of our fresh goods
  • Assemble and report on data relating to supplier performance, identifying improvement initiatives for your category
  • Assist with cost reporting and invoice validation

What you'll bring:

  • Ideally, some experience in procurement, accounting or contract management, working in a comparable role.
  • An organised approach to work and have the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills, strong command of Excel is a must
  • A "whatever it takes" mentality that drives you to find solutions quickly and whenever needed
  • Obsessed with food
  • Proactive, confident in manner and are able to deal with a large and complex network of suppliers delivering a large quantity and variety of perishable ingredients.
  • Passionate about our business: a foodie or an operations and problemsolving zealot
