Position Purpose

The Roster Officer is responsible for capturing vacancies on the roster for the next day of operations and seeking available employees to cover vacancies based on EBA restrictions and employee skill levels. This position is operationally critical and is responsible for ensuring that resource requirements are met to run screening operations as per the lane plans decided with the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capturing post day of operations adjustments from the Business in to workforce to ensure employee pay and contractor billing is accurate
  • Backfill absenteeism and sick leave.
  • Effective Roster coverage.
  • Effective communication with Supervisors, Management and staff throughphone calls and actioning emails
  • Ensure that all qualifications, licenses and accreditations required to carry outyour duties are kept up to date
  • Ensure critical roles are covered
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with the appropriate industrialinstrument
  • Ensure the daily roster is presented to the business with full coverage, with novacancies or errors
  • Ensuring shifts are covered and potential losses minimized due to vacancies.
  • Implement variations to schedule as required by airlines and the client atshort notice

Knowledge

  • Strong Computer Literacy with Microsoft Software, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Thorough understanding of the terms of industrial instruments covering all staff in Aviation Security Sites.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a scheduling or workforce planning role
  • Previous experience with Microster System
