What role you will play in our team:

Reporting to the Marketing and Negotiations Manager, you will be part of a team of commercial negotiators / gas marketers and work closely with gas market commercial operations, gas market analysts and low carbon business development personnel.

Office-based role in ExxonMobil's Docklands office in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

What you will do:

  • Negotiate commercial agreements including:
  • Gas supply agreements in east coast Australia gas market and the Western Australian gas market
  • Other commercial agreements potentially involving counterparties such as joint venture partners, gas infrastructure providers and low carbon partners / customers
  • Undertake business development activities in existing oil and gas and emerging low carbon value chains
  • Manage relationships with existing wholesale gas customers

About you:

Skills and Qualifications

  • At a minimum undergraduate degree
  • At least 10 years of professional experience
  • The right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident, New Zealand citizen)

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering degree preferred
  • Ideally holding undergraduate engineering degree and holding or in process of obtaining graduate or postgraduate commercial qualifications (e.g., Commerce / Finance / Accounting / MBA)
  • Ability to effectively work business opportunities that transverse commercial, technical, and operational domains
  • Experience in energy, oil and gas or adjacent industries an advantage
  • Supply chain experience an advantage
  • Business development experience an advantage
  • Direct experience in East Coast Australia wholesale gas markets an advantage
