About the Role

This is a Permanent Part Time position within Child Life Therapy, where you will engage with children, young people, and families to provide support and help them navigate the challenges of hospitalization. Your role will involve using evidence-based interventions to empower children to cope with their hospital experience.

What you'll achieve:

  • Provide Child Life Therapy services to support children and families
  • Coordinate service delivery effectively to optimize availability
  • Support children through medical interventions and aid them in coping with illness
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with patients, families, and clinicians
  • Develop personalized support plans with families to enhance coping strategies

Your skills and experience:

  • Must hold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in relevant field
  • Current registration as per professional requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development
