The role:

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the Performance Insights team within our Business & Private Banking Finance division. The role will provide critical support by working with a wide network of stakeholders, including Finance Partners, using data to identify, analyse and interpret issues, trends, and opportunities to present logical conclusions and insights for decision making.

You will produce and provide commercial financial insight, analysis and recommendations to drive and improve business performance, as well as support divisional reporting (internal and external), planning, forecasting and financial control management.

Key responsibilities will include:

Assess, analyse, and investigate aspects of financial reporting, including understanding of variances to Business plan/expectations to ensure accurate reporting and the production of Business financial insight for potential drivers of variances. Provide detailed financial analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on both strategic and operational initiatives to the Business. Maintain strong balance sheet control and understanding through balance sheet reconciliations, including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are clearly understood, and providing detailed analysis to support the sign off process. Delivery of monthly, half yearly and annual reporting requirements for B&PB division, acting as the key interface between the CFO team and Group Finance, including external peer analysis. Support half year and year end external reporting periods by acting as key process support. Run forecasting and planning models to ensure business inputs and group assumptions are reflected. Support change initiatives by managing all financial impacts including validating / restatement of numbers, mapping of ledger and insight and taking actions to reduce key data gaps as required. Maintain understanding of group finance policy requirements and ensure compliance including identifying and addressing any areas of no compliance.
What you will bring:

Focused on driving commercial insights as well as delivering results. Able to synthesize information from multiple sources, build complex financial models, identify and synthesise key themes and communicate and influence effectively. Technically proficient in use of modelling and visualisation tools (e.g. Advanced Excel, PowerBI etc.), as well as understanding of Finance processes and key systems (eg HFM, SAP). Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Uncompromising drive, passion, focus, and energy to help innovate and drive change. Tertiary qualification required, ideally CA/CPA qualified.
