We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a leading Australian University where integrity, respect for one another, courage, excellence, and impact are part of everyday life.

The Risk Manager will join an energetic, dedicated team of academics and professionals working together to provide Australia and the world with quality graduates and innovative research.

The Risk, Compliance, and Audit team play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience, and managing incidents. This integration of processes ensures efficient and effective operations.

Your new role:

As the Risk Manager, you will oversee and ensure the effectiveness of risk assessments and controls for all activities. You will also lead the development and implementation of systems and processes to capture, measure, support, and report risk management activities while providing expert advice and enhancing risk management awareness.

The team collaborates with various stakeholders to manage risks and ensure compliance. The organizational culture promotes transparency, accountability, and excellence, contributing to its long-term success and transformational change.

In order to be successful for the role you will require:
  • Postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training related to risk management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary risk management frameworks and International Standards for risk programs. Significant experience in implementing and/or administering an Enterprise Risk Management system.
  • Ability to provide strategic advice, simplify, and articulate complex technical knowledge to a wide range of audiences. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships effortlessly to support staff in a complex and evolving environment.The Bentley campus on which you will be based includes an art gallery, gym, childcare and medical centre, and endless food options, including a supermarket.
