Your future role

The successful candidate will be Reporting directly to the ANZ Indirect Procurement Manager, in this 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible to develop and lead the Indirect Procurement Strategies and methods to achieve sourcing objectives, successful site operations and projects execution. On a day to day you will be involved in supplier development, RFQ management, supplier and contract negotiations and business award conclusion with Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety. 

 

A bit about your new role:

  • Prepare and launch the Request For Quotation with suppliers using Alstom standard tool
  • In liaison with the Site and Project teams, identify project and business needs  
  • Negotiate contracts and terms and condition under a Design and Construction or Construction approach                                                                                         
  • Negotiate cost reduction with suppliers.
  • Responsible for correct inputs for order placement.
  • Achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets during the project exectution
  • Drive supplier Safety and QCD performance reviews with sites and project teams
  • Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines
  • Consolidation of Indirect Procurement Strategy for Construction commodities for Alstom ANZ

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Engineering or purchasing or supply chain.
  • Previous work experience in the construction industry, working with subcontractors as supplier management. 
  • Strong experience in managing and negotiating commercial issues such as pricing, payment terms, cash flow with suppliers.
  • Flexible to travel interstate when required.
