Randstad is currently working with an industry leading organisation which delivers major construction projects domestically and internationally, it has a fantastic reputation in the industry and has exceptional relationships with its clients. Many of the projects are set in remote locations and have strict quality and completion targets that must be met. With a current project pipeline of over $150 million of work in hand, this organisation is growing rapidly and is expected to be awarded more projects in 2024. As a result of their continued success we are looking for a Project Manager to join their team.

The Project Manager will manage the delivery of construction projects effectively, ensuring they meet all design requirements, timeframes, and budget constraints while achieving commercial, HR, safety, quality, environmental, and community targets. The role aims to meet or exceed project financial targets and maintain high standards of project management practice.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the successful completion of the project on or ahead of schedule, ensuring all client expectation and requirements are met
  • Expert in procurement and managing work packages to ensure a cost-effective project delivery
  • Manage the project's financial health through strong contract and financial risk management, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective cost controls
  • Ensure contract compliance with all operational, contractual and legal requirements
  • Implement effective project strategies, including engineering, procurement and construction phases
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and community groups.Must Possess
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the construction industry. Professionals from a trade background with extensive project management experience will be considered
    • Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams
    • Extensive understanding of construction methodologies
    • Contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance management
    • Client relationship and stakeholder management
    • People and performance management, including the performance of subcontractorsCulture and Benefits
