Could you be the Trade Assistant we’re looking for based in our Dandenong site?
 
Alstom is seeking a dedicated Trades Assistant with experience in sheetmetal and spot-welding operations.This is an opportunity to work alongside qualified trades, expand your skill set, and contribute to high-quality projects.

 

We'll look to you for the following activities:

 

•    Operate the spot welder and ensure the production of strong and consistent joints
•    Contribute to quality control by inspecting and ensuring the final products meet the required standards
•    Operating machinery and using power tools
•    Cleaning, preparing and maintaining work sites and tools
•    Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and best practices.

  • Experience in sheetmetal and spot-welding operations 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Familiarity with the standard tools and processes.
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
  • Previous experience operating a spot welder is highly preferred.
