The Role

As the Manager Actuarial Results, you will be responsible for leading the Actuarial Results team in delivering consolidated valuation results from the Consumer, Commercial, Workers' Compensation and CTP teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Actuarial Results team Deliver monthly Journals and Yield Curves to Finance Responsible for quarterly reporting to Finance for the submission of APRA returns Provide the annual Asbestos valuation report (as at March) Provide consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI (as at December and June) Overall Risk Margin and Claims Handling Expense assumptions Work with Finance to embed and improve the new AASB17 reporting approach
Skills & Experience
Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Australia (or equivalent) or close to qualification - Mandatory Strong communication skills (oral and written) - Mandatory Strong analytical / technical aptitude - Mandatory Strong experience in spreadsheet modelling (Excel, VBA) - Mandatory 3+ years Actuarial Valuation experience - Desirable Knowledge of IFRS17/AASB17 - Desirable
