Maintenance Planner

Health, Safety and Risk

• Inspect work area and equipment for hazards, damage and defects prior to commencing work
• Ensure individual compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, Macmahon and Client instructions, policies, procedures and practices

Technical/Operational

• Organising external service providers as required
• Creation of component BOM lists
• Create the maintenance short term plans and ensuring the plan is incorporated in the mine short term plan
• Consolidation of multiple jobs on the same equipment osystem and proactive vs. reactive work available
• Maintain workshop records, equipment records and registers in accordance with the Macmahon Business System (MBS)
• Plans, organises and monitors scheduled maintenance shut downs
• Maintains and establishes the site and equipment maintenance history
• Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect free maintenance work quality
• Support the Engineering and Planning Superintendent to guide and mentor the Engineering and Planning team
• Development and delivery to the maintenance execution teams reliable, accurate and timely maintenance plans, capturing all works required to ensure the assets are capable of being maintained at optimal levels

Commercial/Financial

• Maintaining and updating records of maintenance costs, plant history and task changes within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
• Providing site support for maintenance and KPI reporting
• Assisting with the generation of long term budget forecasts and strategy
• Develop and maintain the long term component forecast

People Management

• Mentoring and coaching of direct reports to continually deliver high standard quality outputs by the Planning teams

Team Contribution

• Work with supervisors to identify unplanned component change outs completed during the current execution week
• Liaise with Mining Planning department to align mobile maintenance schedules with mining short term plan
