Are you ready for a new challenge in healthcare administration? We have partnered with a private hospital seeking a highly experienced and motivated Medical Administrator to join their supportive team and make a meaningful impact.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated relationship builder, who enjoys enhancing efficiency and patient experience. Reporting to the Clinical Leader while supporting the Medical Director, this role ensures effective communication within the admin team, handles billing, data entry, auditing, training, and bookings, and supports daily unit operations.

There is an option to work a 9-day fortnight to balance work-life needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient billing and informed financial consent.
  • Review and implement practice changes to improve operations.
  • Handle financial reporting, including payroll processing, managing debtors and creditors, and bank reconciliations.
  • Create a warm, welcoming environment for all staff and patients.
  • Streamline processes to enhance the patient experience.
  • Follow up on debtors.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Advanced experience and knowledge of private health funds, DVA, private billing, and Medicare claiming processes.
    • Experience in a hospital, day hospital, is highly advantageous.
    • Exceptional communication skills.
    • Highly developed customer service skills, with the ability to engage and support patients effectively.
    • Knowledge of legislative requirements in a healthcare setting (desirable).
