Company Description Due to growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Advisory division in Australia has a great opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Director of Procurement & Contracts Services.

The ideal person for the exciting opportunity will have a strong background in Procurement working across the Infrastructure (rail/aviation) sector and can be based in any of our offices across Australia.

Job Description
- To lead commissions, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to significant procurement and/or contractual changes that improve client businesses
- Responsible for building and leading our procurement team including team management, recruitment and proposition development
- Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost and performance parameters.
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
- Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
- Monitoring and advising upon project finances
- Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main procurement management concepts, tools and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of procurement improvement approaches including procurement process re-engineering, contract development, change management and other relevant techniques.
- To provide complementary services to core TURNER & TOWNSEND propositions such as project management, cost management, advisory services and program management.
- To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- Experience of working across sectors that may include property, infrastructure or natural resources and both the private and public sector.

Qualifications
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: procurement, supply chain management or contract services.
- Thorough training in the total procurement life cycle, from conception stage, through all of the development and tender stages to completion and post-contract review.
- A minimum of 10 years procurement experience that includes private sector and/or procurement consulting.
- To lead the development of sales opportunities with new or existing clients and convert successfully through high quality bid writing.
