The Opportunity

The Senior Category Development analyst is responsible for the delivery of a relevant offer for our customers, enabled by effectively leveraging our data and creation of insights to inform and influence category strategy and ranging decisions. Responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of customer-focused range reviews across a broad number of categories while co-creating, embedding and training ranging tools and processes across the business

Your core responsibilities include:

Partner with Category Managers and other key stakeholder in the creation of data led insights, providing recommendations on category strategy and influencing cross functionally to land customer first results Accountability for Range component of strategic category programs eg: Mission Curation & Partner Reviews  Identify category opportunities through structured analysis and problem solving across different areas; including customer behaviour, market trends, category performance, pricing, supplier dynamics Incorporate strategic insights from qualitative and quantitative consumer and category research into ranging decisions Use analytical tools to drive range reviews; including category segmentation, clustering, range performance and product optimisation Support Category Development Analysts across the range team in training, development and upskilling.  Consult and collaborate confidently with stakeholders across the business to achieve desired outcomes Skilled verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and present at a senior level


Who we’re looking for

To be successful in this role and thrive in our high performance culture, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

3-5yr Retail / Category analyst experience  Project or Transformation experience preferred Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject or equal professional experience Strong visualisation, verbal and written skills  Advanced Excel skills
