Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper opening at our Colony Point Apartments in Norfolk, Virginia

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To ensure visitors to the pool are authorized. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Observes conduct of guests as relates to pool rules and 

regulations and reports specific violations to management; routinely monitors all mechanical 

equipment related to the pool’s operation, and advises the maintenance department of 

needed repairs; regularly checks the levels of chemicals in the pool; maintains chemical log; 

keeps the pool free of debris; waters flowers/landscaping in and around pool area; cleans 

and disinfects bathrooms and shower areas. 

OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS: Moves and arranges pool furniture; cleans pool area; collects 

and inventories pool–related equipment, towels, etc.; assists other employees with unrelated 

tasks. 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

Required: Ability to read and write the English language. 

Preferred: None 

EQUIPMENT USED: Pool Vacuum and related pool maintenance equipment 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Minor lifting 

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS: None 

GENERAL: Performs any additional duties or tasks assigned 

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor 

SUPERVISES: None 

PAYROLL STATUS: Non-Exempt
