Your new team

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Orthoptics team. This is a casual role based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) City Campus.   

Your Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a grade 2 clinician, with sound knowledge and skills in orthoptics and ophthalmic assessments, to join the RMH Orthoptics department. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, the casual orthoptist will be responsible for the assessment and management of a diverse caseload.  

About You

• Registration with the Orthoptic Board of Australia
• Demonstrated knowledge of and skills in orthoptics and ophthalmic assessments
• Professional skills, enthusiasm and initiative to provide excellent clinical service.
• Commitment to live the Melbourne Way - putting people first, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together.
• Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development;
• Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs;
• Commitment to continued professional development;
• Ability to manage a demanding workload, and effectively prioritise tasks
