Your responsibilities will include:

As the subject matter expert (SME) you will provide advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Systems Engineering activities.

You will carry out and lead complex engineering assignments requiring broad systems engineering knowledge and expertise in a broad range of standard technologies and their application.
This will include performing and guiding:

➢ Customer Requirements Elicitation
➢ Developing Operational Concept Documents
➢ Developing Function and Performance Specifications
➢ System Architecture Design
➢ Requirements Analysis
➢ Functional Decomposition
➢ System, Sub-System Design Synthesis
➢ Developing System, Sub-System Requirements
➢ Developing System, Sub-System Design documentation
➢ System, Sub-System Requirements Traceability
➢ Functional Flow/Behaviour Modelling

You will be responsible for guiding a team of professional engineers in achieving assigned project objectives and be responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance.
Coach and mentor staff to develop their skills and capabilities, enabling value add to the business

About you:

To be successful you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience and expertise in relevant technologies and domains with substantial professional experience as a Systems Engineer
  • Experience in development methodologies on complex modern systems using a documented process
  • Strong understanding of existing and emerging engineering industry capabilities
  • Intermediate to advanced skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
  • Extensive experience working in an engineering project mulit-disciplinary environment (preferably within the defence industry)

Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Systems Engineering etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a current CoA clearance of TSPV
