We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team in our Homebush Bay Data Centre for Fujitsu. This role is a permanent role on a salary with benefits associated with shift work. You must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this role.
This role is working on a shift roster pattern, the team provides 24X7 coverage. Shift work will consist 2 x 12 hour day shifts and 2 x 12 hour night shifts followed by 4 days off.

  • Data Centre security – physical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, Data Centre Plant and Equipment maintenance / activities and batch operations
  • Assisting in the maintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility
  • Leading and coordinating Incident management and supporting procedures
  • Monthly reports so you need to be computer literature.
  • Managing Risk management around the DC and assess all WHS associated with the centre
  • Liaise with Clients and Services Providers as required during the undertaking of the maintenance.
  • Subcontractor management and supervision including maintenance, repair and new installations as required on a 24x7 basis.
  • Fujitsu Data Centre National Access Procedure is followed at all times.

To hit the ground running we are ideally looking for someone with:

  • Electrically qualified by trade or Mechanical / Controls
  • Ideally 2 years previous experience working within a data centre or similar environment.
  • Able to work independently and trouble shoot customer issues.
  • Experience in operational efficiencies and operational process creation and reviews.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Awareness of WHS
