About The Opportunity

The role of the Group Supervisor is to provide leadership, supervision and support for Parks & Open Spaces staff by coordinating and managing teams to deliver diverse horticultural projects and maintenance to maintain and enhance the environment of our Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces. 

About You

  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external parties.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of employees. 
  • High level knowledge and experience in supervising diverse construction and maintenance of Parks & Open Spaces work, including Parks and Gardens, Roads Environment, Landscapes, CBD streetscapes, Cemeteries, Foreshores and Beaches.
  • Ability to deliver within time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Experience in interpreting design plans, job set out and recording changes.
  • Ability to prepare and implement traffic management plans to meet the requirements of the Manual of Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
  • Ability to correctly operate and maintain various items of plant and equipment relative to this position.
  • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management or the ability to obtain.
  • Qualifications in a related field will be highly regarded. 
  • A current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
