The Opportunity:
As the ICT Systems Architect, you will focus on successfully supporting the administration of Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support unit ICT networks, for building the value of the KEY-team brand with the client and maximising the opportunities for business growth within the operating rules applicable to the MSP. You will closely coordinate and align with other EWIS-JA Projects, as well as the capability manager, to achieve success.
Responsibilities
Support the Commonwealth with their Network tasks
Support the implementation of a network performance monitoring system
Assist with the upgrade of Linux systems
Assist with the administration of Virtualisation environments
Assist with the upgrade of desktop imaging system
Support the upgrade of JIRA-based services
Support the upgrade of network auditing systems
Assist with the upgrade of core hardware
Support the implementation of logging systems
Assist with the upgrade of network security
Support the update of system documentation
Support the implementation of end-point security and white-listing systems
Support knowledge transfer to and mentoring of permanent SMU staff
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
8 years’ minimum experience in a similar role
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an Australian institution, or a qualification gained elsewhere, that satisfies the requirements of the Washington Accord for recognition as a Professional Engineer.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
An understanding of Electronic Warfare
Defence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor)
AGSVA security clearance – NV 2 (minimum – with ability to obtain TSPV is required)
Other Competencies
Capability of working under broad direction

An ability to apply fundamental ICT / Engineering critical thinking to problem solving
Experience in operating within a team environment
Ability to priorities work and work in a flexible delivery environment
Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA (on site 4 days a week dependent on network access and role requirements)
