Position Overview:

As a Wall and Floor Tiler at ZMPlex, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of craftsmanship. You will work on a variety of projects, from elegant residential spaces to large-scale commercial developments, applying your expertise to create visually stunning and durable tile installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing plans, measuring and marking surfaces, and organizing the layout of the work.
  • Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing.
  • Measure and cut tiles to fit precise dimensions.
  • Install wall and floor tiles with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Arrange coloured tiles in patterns to form mosaics
  • Apply grout and sealants to completed tile work.
  • Implementing waterproofing solutions.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent skills in measuring, cutting, and fitting tiles.
  • Knowledge of various tiling materials and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in tiling are preferred.
