CMC Markets are hiring We are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) on a 12 month FTC to join the Stockbroking team as a member of the Platforms squad. Please note that this role is only open to Sydney or Auckland based candidates with full working rights (Citizen/Permanent Resident).

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (.NET and React) to join the Stockbroking Team as a member of the Platforms squad. The purpose of this role is to assist with new project and feature development, transformation of the existing platform backend and frontend, and application architecture upgrades. As part of the platform transformation and modernisation work, the role will primarily be focussed on micro frontend application development with React and cloud-based backend microservice development using .NET/C#.

What you can expect from working with the Platform Squad:

You’ll be working with 5-6 experienced engineers who are busy transforming parts of an existing application to meet modern standards of clean and maintainable code, and developing functionality for new/upcoming projects. Our UI/UX expert and QA engineer ensure our customers are provided bug free and beautiful features, and the head of product guides new feature development with vast domain knowledge. All new code is written to modern standards with code quality and test coverage enforced, and is deployed to production via automated CI/CD processes once pull requests are approved; expect to deploy your first features or fixes within days of joining the squad.

Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Sydney or Auckland office 5 days per week.

Key Skills And Experience

.NET/C#, 7+ years’ experienceReact/TypeScript 5+ years’ experience.ASP.NET & Web API experience.MSSQL 7+ years’ experience.AWS Certified or in-depth knowledge of AWS.Entity Framework.Comfortable with contributing to complex technical discussions.Self-motivated individual who can take ownership of tasks.Good understanding of user experience best practicesRecent practical hands-on development experience in an agile commercial environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills
