Master of Professional Psychology Placement opportunity in LISMORE, NSW starting Mid 2024

Student will

  • Participate in team functions, including daily review meetings, group supervision and informal debriefing.
  • Conduct Intake assessments (initially observing, then with supervision, then alone). These are a psychosocial assessment and include a thorough assessment of suicide risk using our SafeSide model
  • Write up intake and present these at daily review meeting
  • Depending on the student, skillset and placement they may carry a small caseload of low-risk clients for counselling and interventions
  • Participate in mandatory trainings offered to the team (ACT and Motivational interviewing) as well as weekly supervision.

  • Completing 5th year in Masters of Professional Psychology
  • Engage in critical reflective processes in learning
  • Social, friendly with a positive attitude
  • Compassionate nature
  • Strong admin skills

You will have the following to qualify for this role

  • Hold a working with children check
  • Hold a police check
  • Aged 18 years and over
  • Australian Open Drivers Licence (or on Green P Plates)
