The assignment will be a mix of solution planning, design and delivery.

 

  • The solution architect will be required to complete the Delivery Model and Software TADs to support the development of the ICM DABC and associated costs to be included into the Project funding.
  • The solution architect is also required to support the initial delivery of the project with setting up the Infrastructure and Digital elements to support the contractor’s access.

Working closely with the Enterprise Solution Architect, Enterprise Architects and other Digital Architects their duties will include:

  • Defining and implementing ICM solution that meets business needs
  • Collaborating with Development teams (internal and external) to ensure that solutions as delivered are aligned with the agreed Solution Architectures.
  • Providing high levels of expertise and contribution to complex solution delivery, including overseeing the quality of delivery.
  • Working with key stakeholders on a range of initiatives to drive the delivery of architected solutions and provide advanced technical consulting
  • Ensuring architecture references including principles, policies, standards, roadmaps, frameworks, patterns and methodologies, are applied in the delivery of solutions.

 

The candidate will have at least five years’ experience. As a Solution Architect, ideally in a large corporate environment. Excellent communication skills are a must, including the ability to have complex technical conversations from a business-oriented capacity, conveying technical ideas in plain language. 

Experience in enterprise asset management, specifically with water and waste-water modelling is a must-have, as is experience dealing with multiple stakeholders, including third party vendors.

Their background will include:

  • Expert skills and considerable experience in customer-facing web applications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar technical fields
  • Proven experience in Solution Design and Delivery within large organizations
  • Subject matter expert and proven experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies relating to business architectures
  • Experience across the software development life cycle, including high-level estimation and business case development
  • Enterprise Asset Management, specifically Asset Modeling.
  • Experience using DHI MIKE+ solution
