Drive and Deliver
Driving a tankerfor Hanson means you will be spending plenty of time by yourself and on someshifts, you may not see anyone at all. This role will suit you if you enjoyyour own company and aren’t too fussed if you don’t have to interact withanyone. On somedays you will be meeting with new customers but on others you will be seeingthe same faces as yesterday. We now have both day and night shift driving roles available. About therole:
You will be working out of the Gaskell Sands quarry, Red Hill quarry and Canning Vale concrete plant. Most days, your shift will start at 4am and finish at 4pm, pending business requirements. Night shifts are a 4pm start with a 4am finish. We pay a base rate for the first 8 hours of your shift and once you go past those hours, you will receive time and a half for the next two. If you do more than 10 hours overtime in a day, you go into double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift Your days, or nights, will consist of pick-up and delivery of tanker freight with little to no human interaction throughout the course of your shift We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your dayAbout you:
Minimum of HC license with previous driving experience (essential) You enjoy the solitude of driving and prefer to keep to yourself at work You enjoy routine work and don’t crave too much variety in your working day You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck. Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Hanson sites) Our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts.
