TasWater Capital Delivery Office 

TasWater’s Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is responsible for delivering TasWater's major infrastructure projects. These extensive, interesting, and varied works form part of TasWater’s $1.1 billion, capital works program that is being rolled out across the state of Tasmania. 
The CDO is an alliance formed between TasWater, CPB Contractors, and UGL Limited (both members of the CIMIC Group) along with WSP Australia, to create the TasWater Capital Delivery Office. Our business delivers timely, cost-effective, quality capital works solutions to meet the needs of TasWater stakeholders, and communities across Tasmania. While ensuring the best long-term water supply and sewage treatment solutions are out in place, we are also introducing new technologies.

The Opportunity 

UGL are looking for Document Controller for our TasWater CDO based in Hobart, this is a fixed term contract to December 2026. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

•    Liaise with relevant managers (e.g. Project Managers) to identify documentation and other assistance required and to receive instructions
•    Liaise regularly with relevant managers to confirm and prioritise activities/commitments for completion 
•    Control the identification, registration, distribution, and retention of all client, design and vendor documentation 
•    Implement and manage Document Control Procedure as required, monitoring project performance including project costs, progress against schedule, safety and internal reviews
•    Set up the Project Drawing files after verification that all drawings issued by client or other parties are in accordance with the associated transmittal
 

About You

•    Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline – e.g. Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated competence
•    Considerable experience in a document control role
•    Training in document control fundamentals
•    Experience using ACONEX document management system highly desirable
•    Experience with MS Office, Lotus Notes, eDocs and QDMS highly desirable
