Clayton, Australia PPG Industries Full time

As a Technical Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing timely assistance to manufacturing cells within our Clayton facility. You will work closely with Operations staff to drive continuous improvement and efficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Always ensure adherence to company EHS processes - your safety is our number one priority
  • Provide Technical support to plant operators during manufacturing, testing, and filling processes.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards for work cells, conducting audits when required and ensuring ISO9001:2015 standards are achieved.
  • Continuous improvement of processes to optimize production and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the training and support of personnel and factory operators.
  • Ensuring actions are taken and followed up urgently.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in paint formulation, manufacturing, QC testing, and laboratory. Management, quality assurance, and problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of ISO, APAS, and quality systems is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' of experience working within the paint industry is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Good understanding of quality assurance requirements and the disciplines required to maintain TS16949, ISO 9001 and NATA endorsements.
  • Colour Matching Experience is required.
