About the Role:

We are hiring for an ETS Manager to join our team.

This role plays a crucial role in helping REMONDIS develop and expand its hazardous waste business. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in supporting REMONDIS to grow and enhance our presence in NSW and beyond by running the business and identifying opportunities for successful and sustainable growth. You will be critical for our ability to provide suitable, safe, and effective solutions for our customers.

This is a well-established role within a solid business. You’ll work as part of a dynamic team and help us deliver key outcomes by working closely with our customers to develop safe, sound, sustainable, and efficient solutions. The successful candidate will blend strong business and commercial acumen with technical expertise to ensure the highest standards in hazardous waste management.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated employees, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Develop and execute strategies for innovative waste treatment solutions, aligning with company goals and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver customized project managed waste treatment solutions.
  • Optimize operational roadmaps to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance: Ensure all waste treatment processes comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

About you:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in hazardous waste management, with a strong focus on safety and risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of waste treatment technologies, environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science / engineering; chemical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management; environmental treatment; manufacturing or similar industry.
  • A proven track record in reducing risk, optimising safety processes, and driving a change agenda within high-risk environments.
  • Proven experience across operations and business development.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
