Ramelius is proud to announce we are seeking a Student Environmental Advisor for our Summer Vacation Program. Running from December to February you can be part of successful West Australian Gold Producer.
  
This opportunity is offered on a casual contract. 4 days on, 3 days off FIFO ex Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.
  
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor, this role will involve:

  • Understand and act in accordance with the Company’s values, Code of Conduct and all the Company Policies.
  • Undertake field-based tasks such as water sampling and photo monitoring.
  • Conduct environmental inspections at workshops, reviewing reports, data entry of laboratory results and regulatory reporting of MRF data and performing GIS functions.
  • Visit underground/open pit mines and the processing facility as an observer to gain an understanding of overall mining operation.
  • Complete site inductions and training modules assigned.
  • Ensure communication is positive, clear and effective across all teams and Departments.
  • Attend one return to work/safety weekly and Pre-start meeting daily. 

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see.  

  • Currently studying Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biodiversity degree or similar.
  • Scientific approach with natural curiosity.
  • Motivated and goal driven.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to implement planning and time management strategies.
  • Ability to conduct entry level field work and undertake tasks with supervision and guidance.
  • A West Australian C class driver’s license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
