Are you a Registered Nurse specializing in Mental Health or Addictions, seeking a rewarding career?  The Sydney Clinic is looking for qualified Registered Nurses specializing in Mental Health or Addiction Disorders to join our established team on our specialised inpatient unit.

As the Registered Nurse your role will include:

·         Working closely with your patients to help identify, plan and assist in their journey to recovery.

·         Working with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to identify obstacles to recovery and empower our patients in decision making.

·         A trauma informed and recovery focused approach to patient care.

·         Deliver quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care

·         Participate in Safety Huddles and Complex Case Reviews.

·         Provide a standard of care according to the individuals level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment

·         Develop and utilize strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.

·         Be proactive in your contribution to Quality Improvement, service development and patient safety initiatives in the clinic.

 The Sydney Clinic is a 42 bed Private Mental Health and Addictions facility located in the Eastern Suburbs and within easy access to Bondi Junction and Bronte Beach. The Sydney Clinic offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers

Selection Criteria 

Essential:

·         A working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery

·         Current Registration with AHPRA

·         A demonstrated interest in the field of mental health addiction disorders evidenced by specialization in the field, substantial experience, or postgraduate qualifications or Continual Professional Development

·         Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care

·         Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

·         Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development

·         Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Preferred:

·         Post graduate qualifications in mental health or addiction disorders
