Job Description

The Materials Planner will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the external manufacturers to schedule the production requirements and create a materials and capacity feasible short term production plan (1-3 month horizon).
  • Provide monthly forecast to all 3rd party manufacturing
  • Supply planning for Tollers (3rd Party Manufacturer)
  • Review MRP exception messages within the planning time fence and resolves or escalates supply/demand imbalances as appropriate.
  • Manage the SAP master data for all materials (raw material, formulated bulk, products) to ensure generation of realistic requisitions in SAP.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Materials Planner role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:

  • Previous supply chain experience gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with tollers (3rd party manufacturing)
  • Strong knowledge of systems supporting supply chain activities including proficiency using ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
  • Demonstrated Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Understanding of BOMs (Bill of materials)
