About the Medical Record Service

The Medical Record Service makes patient information available to deliver care to our patients, to support our clinicians and external care providers. This busy 24 hour Department is responsible for:

  • Preparing and scanning  paper patient information
  • Uploading information receive in electronic format
  • Quality checking processes
  • Merging of duplicate patient records
  • Release of patient information
  • Reception services

About the role

As the Team Leader, you will lead a team of staff in each of the tasks above, ensuring that our processes are carried out within agreed timeframes and expectations. There are opportunities to interact with many areas across both within and external to Austin Health. A reular day will see you:

  • Ability to engage and manage staff
  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience in patient administration systems
  • Healthcare experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Team work 
  • Rostering of staff within financial constraints
