What’s on offer?

We’re looking to appoint an experienced Leading Hand to undertake Water Construction works within our Pipelines Department. This is a permanent full-time position, that will see you working across the South-Eastern suburbs and other Greater Melbourne Metro areas.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved as a key leader of a construction crew undertaking the installation of new water mains, mainly within new subdivisions.

You'll be a proven leader who can support and motivate site teams – ensuring the focus remains on safety, quality, cost and schedule in the planning and execution of work.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of SWMS and leading daily pre-start meetings to address all site requirements;

  • Scheduling, forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and subcontractors;

  • Coordinating with the engineering team to develop and maintain project programs;

  • Providing weekly/monthly program updates;

  • Recording daily productivity targets and documenting delays and issues;

  • Managing/monitoring project costs;

  • Resolving daily site issues;
