Across the AU/NZ Operations, the Estimation Criteria & Audit Manager will oversee the assessment of vehicle repair needs, estimation of repair costs, and criteria audits, while ensuring accuracy and fairness in the repair process. You will lead initiatives aimed at providing ongoing support to the operational teams across the business, confirming fair and justifiable outcomes for both the customer and the business.

You will be situated at our Head Office in Rowville however your delegation of responsibility will be across all AU/NZ sites (approx. 60 sites), There will be some interstate and (minimal) international travel required.

The Estimation Criteria & Audit Manager is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of assessment criteria in evaluating vehicle damage and repair needs.
  • Developing accurate processes to ensure thorough inspections of vehicles to identify damage and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Enhancing the adoption of, and adherence to all safety standards within the criteria assessment and estimation processes.
  • Conducting regular and systematic audits of repair estimates and completed repairs.
  • Implementing appropriate quality control measures to deliver consistent high quality repair estimation services and outcomes.
  • Remaining up to date with industry trends, advancements in repair techniques and changes in estimation software.
  • Providing support and guidance to the Repair sites, addressing systemic criteria assessment queries.
  • Engaging with insurance assessors as required to understand, document and address estimation and criteria-based concerns.
  • Providing effective communication and liaison between the key customers and the operational leadership.
  • Building strong key stakeholder relationships with insurers, suppliers, and other key operational stakeholders.
  • Preparation and presentation of regular reports on assessment findings, repairs estimates and audit outcomes.
  • Train, coach and mentor Estimators and other key team members through formal and informal estimation and criteria assessment training and development opportunities

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in estimating systems and processes in a complex repair environment.
  • Developed critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills.
  • Planning and organisational ability – including the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer literacy – including advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrate high motivation and an action orientation. Desirable
  • Proven experience within automotive repair or insurance industries
