About the Positions

We have exciting opportunities for candidates across a range of casual positions within the Shire of Ashburton.

We are currently looking for pro-active, agile, and enthusiastic individuals with outstanding customer service to join our team.

Over the course of the year, we have potential vacancies in a range of positions across all towns. Some of the positions that may become available include:

• Events and Activities Assistant (Tom Price & Pannawonica)
• Pool Lifeguard and Pool Assistant (Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Onslow - Seasonal) - current Provide First Aid is a pre-requisite of both positions and current Lifeguard qualification required for Lifeguard roles
• Cleaner (Tom Price, Paraburdoo & Onslow)
• Visitor Center Officer (Tom Price only - Seasonal)
• IT Support
• Pound Keeper (Tom Price only)
• Libraries
• Customer Service

Please note that not all positions are available at all times. We encourage you to register your interest in your preferred areas by applying through this Casual Pool. Your details will be lodged in our casual pool reigister for the current calendar year, and we will be in contact should a position arise in the area(s) you have nominated that matches your skill set/experience.

These positions are being offered on a casual basis and hours of work may include weekends. Training will be provided where required. Your application will be kept on file, and you may be contacted for future employment opportunities. From time to time, we may also draw from the applications in this pool to offer opportunities of part-time and/or fixed term work, or for work in areas not mentioned in the above list but for which your skill set, qualifications and/or experience are a match. These positions offer competitive remuneration, and all terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
