The opportunity

Our highly regarded Brisbane General insurance practice, led by Andrew Cheetham, is looking for an Associate to join this high performing team. The successful candidate will be involved with advising and acting for international insurers on some of Australia’s most prominent current disputes, multimillion dollar common law claims, class actions, remediation programs as well as high profile regulatory investigations and prosecutions. There is also an opportunity to work closely with the firm’s corporate and government clients in providing policy advice, in the defence of claims and the development of preventative risk strategies.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years PAE;
  • understanding of financial and commercial lines;
  • strategic and critical thinking capability;
  • strong written and verbal skills, particularly with writing advices;
  • motivated, can-do approach. Ability to think outside the box and provide value-adding solutions to clients; and
  • among senior candidates, appetite to mentor our junior cohort.
